Rev. Eric Stroshine, Pastor
Rev. Eric has been Senior Pastor of First Congregational Church of Hanover since July 2011.  He is a native of Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a Master of Divinity Degree from Yale University Divinity School.  He also has studied at Vanderbilt University Divinity School, The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, and .completed clergy clinics in family emotional process in Bowen family system theory at the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center in Chicago.  In 21 years of ministry, he has have served churches, in the Southeast, New England, and the Midwest.   He has been a Religion Writer for major metropolitan newspapers.   In addition to his church service, he has been active as a founder/leader in the YMCA Guide and Princess program and an active member of the Rotary Club. He founded tutoring ministries at inner cities elementary schools in two communities where he served.

Lisa has served as office administrator since June 2010.  She is a graduate of Cornell University and also serves the church as Financial Secretary and is on the Finance Committee. 


Rev. Meg Clapp,
Pastoral Associate
As Pastoral Associate Rev. Meg occasionally preachers and is involved in adult faith formation, such as book studies.  She received her Master of Divinity degree from Boston University and she is the retired director of the pharmacy at Mass General Hospital.  Meg began her ministry at FCC in 2008.     





Chad Weirick
Minister of Music

A native of Rockford, Illinois, Chad is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music (composition) and currently lives with his partner David in the Boston area.

At the age of 15, Chad graduated high school and went on to become the Organist at Radio City Music Hall, for which he gained a listing in 'Ripley's Believe it or Not!' He also played piano for many different Broadway shows and directed many theater groups before finally moving to Boston to attend school.

In addition to being the Minister of Music, he currently is the Assistant Musical Director and Principal Accompanist for the Boston Gay Men's Chorus and also works in the choral department at Wellesley High School.

Many groups and artists have recorded/performed his arrangements including: The Boston Pops, Nell Carter, Lillias White, Ann Hampton Calloway, The Arcadian Winds and many choirs in the United States as well as Europe.

Deborah Bowen, Church School Superintendent

Deborah has served in her Christian Education ministry since 1999.  She is a member of the Massachusetts United Church of Christ Christian Education Commission and is also an administrative assistant at Newton-Wellesley Hospital
